# Why do customers continue to place orders even when there is no stock available?

## Scenario 1

Sellercraft initially retrieves the current stock information from the platform, which remains in place until receiving updates from Sellercraft users or inbound notifications from the WMS.

## Scenario 2

When a product listing already exists in Sellercraft and the seller creates or enables the same listing via the platform. The sync from platform to Sellercraft for product listings is not instant.

### Solution

Perform a [force sync](/how-to-sellercraft/oms/faqs/stocks/why-are-stocks-not-syncing-to-platforms.md) in order to update the information.
